This Saturday’s game against FSU is our last home game of the year and Tim Tebow’s last game in The Swamp. To celebrate this momentous day against our most hated rival we’re going to start our tailgate early at 10:00 AM (Kick-off is 3:30). Just like all the MBAA tailgates, our last tailgate of the year will take place at the Plaza of Americas. We’ve heard your requests to mix up the food selection at the tailgate so in addition to burgers we’re going to have chicken and a few other choice meats. As always, beer and alcohol is BYOB and we will have coolers and ice to keep your favorite beverage of choice cold.
TICKET DISTRIBUTION
If you wish to pick up your ticket early Danny will be in the lounge tomorrow (11/25) from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. If you are picking up your ticket on game day, ticket distribution will begin at 11:30 AM.
TICKET LOTTERY
It’s hard for us to gauge if we are going to have to run the lottery at this point. It’s Tebow’s last home game and there are no Executive, Professional or Internet classes this weekend so we’ll likely have less tickets available than usual but it is a holiday weekend so we’re unsure how many students are going to be able to come to the game. My gut says we’ll probably have to run the lottery so if you need a ticket please make sure that you are at the tailgate and signed up for the lottery by 2:30.
RSVP on Facebook.

Dress for this event is CASUAL and food/beverages will be provided. MBAA members and active Marketing Club members (yes, there is a list) get in FREE! The cost of attendance for non-MBAA or Marketing Club members is $5.
This event is intended to be an informal question-and-answer session. This is an extraordinary chance for you to spend time with a prominent executive in a small-group (MBA-only) environment, so your attendance is highly encouraged.

Gentlemen, start your mustaches (and be a part of the UF MBA MOvember campaign)! And for those of you who can’t grow your own (MEN & WOMEN), NAWMBA is excited to announce a fun way to support your fellow classmates and a cause relevant to us all.
So what is MOvember? It’s a worldwide campaign to raise awareness and money for the fight against men’s cancers. The theme is “changing the face of men’s health” and the way it works is guys grow out their facial hair as a way to bring attention to the subject. Then, just like a charity run, ‘stache growers collect money for the cause. The money raised by the campaign goes to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation.
When do we celebrate? At the end of November parties called MO-galas are held in major cities around the globe where men show off their ‘staches and celebrate what everyone has accomplished. We’ll be having our own celebration. The FIU tailgate on November 21st is your chance to show off your most ridiculous facial hair! NAWMBA has organized ways for EVERYONE, male or female, in Gainesville or afar, ‘stache or not to get involved.
What can I do? The men of T211 have organized a team and are growing mustaches this month as a part of the effort. In order to support our fellow classmates NAWMBA has organized several ways for EVERYONE to get involved.
If you’re a male who wants to give up shaving for a month:
1. GROW your own mustache! You can join the team the T211’s have created by Clicking here. Follow the instructions to join team “UF MBA”
2. COMPETE. Sign-up to be a part of the NAWMBA competition to determine the fan favorite ‘stache. Voting will be done by donations during the FIU tailgate and the winner will be announced that day. MBAA has offered to donate $100 in the name of the winning mustache grower’s cohort, equating to MAJOR bragging rights. (You do not have to be present to be a part of this, a photo of your ‘stache will suffice so don’t be discouraged if you’re not in Gainesville – ALL MBAs are welcome! Reply to this email by Nov. 16 to enter.) Who’s up for a little cross cohort rivalry?
If you’re a male or female who won’t be growing but you want to be involved:
1. DONATE (and encourage others to do the same) directly to the team by Clicking Here . Follow the instructions to donate to team “UF MBA” You can get involved this way without ever setting foot on campus.
2. PURCHASE a FAKE MUSTACHE from a NAWMBA representative! Each traditional cohort will have a representative selling the ‘staches throughout the month so that EVERYONE can sport a ‘stache during the FIU tailgate. The fake mustaches will also be for sale during the tailgate. The money raised will be donated through the UF MBA MOvember team.
3. SPREAD the word! Let everyone know about MOvember through your Facebook status. Suggested status: “I support the UF MBA MOvember Team and you can too! Be a part of the worldwide effort http://us.movember.com/”
4. DROP off your change. A donation box will also be placed in the MBA office in case you have some loose change you need to unload throughout the day.
Everyone: get excited to be a part of something great! You’ll look great in a moustache so join your MBA team in raising awareness and supporting this important cause.
Did you know? A few relevant details (courtesy of the MOvember site):
· 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
· Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35.
· Get all the details about MOvember through the official websites: Movember and About Movember.
Thank you everyone for your support. Lets ROCK MOvember!

The Tennessee game is finally here! Thanks to Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin’s loose lips this game is our most anticipated home game of the year (apologies FSU fans, maybe you’ll be good in 2011) so we’re turning up the heat on this week’s tailgate.
Kickoff is at 3:30 and since it’s a big game we’re going to start the tailgate early at 11:00am. As always, our tailgate will be held in the Plaza of Americas just south of Library West. This week’s game is a BLUE OUT which means Coach Meyer has requested that everyone wear blue to the game, so make sure you blue yourself before coming to the game.
This week’s tailgate is sponsored by DaVita. DaVita is one of the many companies that will be at the Graduate Career Fair in October and this is a great opportunity for those of you interested in working at DaVita to start networking with the company before the career fair. This is an informal event so please arrive dressed for the game, not business casual. Those of you that attended the NAWMBA fashion show know how to dress properly. To learn more about DaVita you may visit its website or contact Henriikka Siikala (TMBA, 2009).
We will have a full spread of food including a burger bar, fruits & vegetables, water, sodas and more. The usual assortment of games and good times will be provided.
Once again, beer and alcohol is BYOB and we will have coolers and ice to keep your drinks cold.
Ticket distribution and lottery sign up begins at 12:00pm. We expect to run the lottery for this game and you must be signed up by 2:30 to be eligible to win a ticket for this game. No exceptions.
RSVP on Facebook.

Please mark your calendar for Monday, September 14th at 6:30pm as NAWMBA will be presenting our Fall Fashion Show in Bryan 232.
You will learn what’s appropriate for various levels of dress including: business casual, interview, networking, tailgating, etc. You will also see some familiar faces on the runway, as some of your classmates double as models in their free time.
Macy’s is sponsoring the event and will be providing attendees with a discount to purchase some proper professional attire!
Light refreshments will be available.
Hope to see you all there!
